Translate Mode

Speak in your language, output in another. Like having a translator in your keyboard.

How It Works

Click the VoxInk menu bar icon and select your desired output language from the language dropdown.

Short press Fn + Ctrl to cycle modes until you see Translate.

Hold Fn + Ctrl and speak naturally in whatever language is comfortable. Release when done.

Your speech is transcribed, translated by Gemini AI, and inserted at your cursor in the target language.

Reply in their language without switching keyboards or typing in a language you're less fluent in.

Draft emails, documents, or posts in another language at the speed of your native speech.

Respond to customers in their language, even if you don't speak it fluently.

You can speak in any of 60+ languages (auto-detected). The output can be translated to any of these 17 languages:

Tip: You don't need to select your input language. Soniox auto-detects what you're speaking. Just set the output language and start talking.

Speak naturally — don't try to translate in your head first. Think in your language, speak in your language.
Complete sentences work best — fragments and single words may lack context for accurate translation.
Code-switching is fine — if you mix languages (e.g., English with some Chinese), VoxInk handles it.
Check tone — translation preserves meaning but tone can shift subtly. Skim the output for important messages.
